Privacy Policy
How LatchTrade handles your data.
This page explains what data LatchTrade collects, why it is used, and how trading credentials are protected when you run hosted Polymarket copy-trading bots.
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how LatchTrade collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use our hosted Polymarket copy-trading service.
LatchTrade lets users configure hosted bots that follow public Polymarket wallets and place trades using the settings the user provides. This policy applies to our website, dashboard, hosted bot infrastructure, support channels, and related tools.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the information needed to operate LatchTrade, secure accounts, support users, and maintain the service.
- Account information, such as your email address, display name, and authentication records.
- Bot configuration data, such as the wallet you choose to follow, sizing settings, risk limits, slippage settings, pause and resume state, and execution tier.
- Trading wallet information, including your public wallet address and your trading key. Your trading key is encrypted and held in a dedicated, locked-down key vault, separate from our main application database, because the bot needs it to authorize trades on your behalf.
- Runtime and activity data, such as bot status, trade logs, execution events, provisioning history, dashboard activity, and support interactions.
- Technical and usage data, such as IP address, browser type, device information, session metadata, and general diagnostics used for security and reliability.
- Billing and subscription records, such as subscription tier, renewal status, invoice references, and payment processor metadata.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use collected data only to operate, improve, secure, and support LatchTrade.
- Create and manage your account.
- Provision, run, pause, resume, and update your hosted bots.
- Authorize trades from your configured trading wallet using the encrypted key you provide.
- Show trade logs, bot status, provisioning history, and support diagnostics in the dashboard.
- Process subscriptions, billing events, renewals, and account-level product access.
- Respond to support requests and investigate service issues or abuse.
- Maintain platform security, detect misuse, and protect infrastructure integrity.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.
4. Legal Bases and Regional Rights
Where applicable law requires a legal basis for processing, LatchTrade generally relies on contract performance, legitimate interests, consent, and legal obligation depending on the type of processing involved.
If you are in a region that grants privacy rights, such as the EEA, UK, or certain U.S. states, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or request a copy of certain personal data we hold about you, subject to applicable law and verification requirements.
5. Storage and Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect account data and bot credentials.
- Data is transmitted over encrypted connections.
- Sensitive bot credentials, including the trading key needed to authorize trades, are encrypted at rest.
- Trading keys are stored separately from the main application database in dedicated secret storage.
- Access to production systems is restricted to authorized service operations.
- We review logs, failures, and infrastructure events to monitor reliability and security.
No internet-connected system can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure, but encryption and separated secret storage are core parts of how LatchTrade handles trading credentials.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We may share limited information with service providers and infrastructure partners when necessary to operate LatchTrade.
- Hosting and infrastructure providers used to run the website, API, bot services, logs, and secret storage.
- Authentication and account providers used to sign users in and secure sessions.
- Billing and payment providers used to manage subscriptions and invoices.
- Email and support providers used to send transactional messages or respond to support requests.
- Prediction market and blockchain systems where bot-executed transactions, wallet addresses, and trade activity may be visible as part of the normal operation of Polymarket and public blockchain infrastructure.
- Legal or regulatory disclosures where required by law or needed to protect the service, users, or the public.
7. Cookies and Similar Technologies
LatchTrade may use cookies or similar technologies for authentication, session continuity, security, performance, and analytics. Some cookies are necessary for the site to function, while others may be used to understand product usage and improve the service.
8. Data Retention
We retain data for as long as it is reasonably needed to operate the service, maintain records, resolve disputes, support users, and meet legal or operational requirements.
If you close your account or request deletion, we may retain certain records for security, fraud prevention, billing, legal compliance, and system integrity where necessary.
9. Children's Privacy
LatchTrade is intended for adults and is not directed to children. If you believe a minor has provided personal data through the service, contact us and we will review the request.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may update the page, adjust in-product notices, or otherwise notify users as appropriate.
